BACK PAIN

BACK PAIN

What are the reasons for back pain?

  1. Spine disorders: osteochondrosis, prolapse, dislocations of vertebras (spondylolisthesis), tumor masses of bone tissues, nerve terminal jams, neuralgias caused by injuries or inflamation, etc.
  2. Obesity: Extra weight leads to an overload of the spine provoking change of its shape and curvature, leading to pain.
  3. Injuries after falling, car accidents, or other accidents.
  4. Diseases of the heart, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, or other internal organs.
  5. Excessive loads.
  6. Sedentary lifestyle.
  7. Previous surgery. A surgical scar has a tendency to tie-up surrounding tissues, disrupting their mobility and position. Strings of surrounding internal organs attach with one of the ends to some specific bone structures. These structures will change position when the strings are tense, creating biomechanical disorders resulting in back pain.

How to begin back pain treatment?

Back pain brings a lot of discomfort. Many people use heating and painkilling ointments to deal with it. This approach brings only temporary relief and meanwhile the problem can progress. Please remember, the sooner you go to the doctor, the easier will be the treatment!

A thorough examination is necessary to reveal the real cause of spine problems. You can do it by visiting one of the osteopaths working in our center.

The doctor creates a whole picture of patient health while talking to him or her and gathering a history of the ailment.

With percussion and hands-on methods the osteopath can determine:

  • Position of internal organs;
  • Hypo- and hypertonia of muscles;
  • Work of strings and joints;
  • Spine dysfunctions;
  • Sckull dysfunctions

The osteopathic diagnosis mainly aims to determine the real cause of your pain without addressing just the consequences. Often the real reason is not even located in the most bothered area.

A plan of further treatment is created based on the information gathered. It can combine osteopathy, daily exercise therapy, massage, acupuncture, and other methods. This holistic approach in dealing with your health problems is the key to life-long wellbeing!
